Hindu Endowments Board (HEB) is a Statutory Board under the purview of Ministry of Community Development. Its members are appointed by the Ministry for Community Development for a term of three years.

HEB's mission is to support the development and growth of an exemplary Hindu community within the context of a multi-racial and multi-religious Singaporean society.

HEB administers four temples namely:

  • Sri Sivan Temple (Estb. 1821)
  • Sri Mariamman Temple (Estb. 1827)
  • Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple (Estb. 1855)
  • Sri Vairavimada Kaliamman Temple (Estb. 1860)

    and their endowments.

The first mentioned two temples are national monuments. The HEB has nearly 500 volunteers to support the temples and its other activities. It is responsible for organising the major festivals like Thaipusam & Fire-walking. It also helps other temples on staff matters, religious issues and getting land for relocation of temples.
