Performances by the Society
The Society's principal activity is the training of graduates in the performing arts. However, it never misses the opportunity to participate regularly in Singapore's Indian cultural activities. The Society's graduates are very active in other Indian cultural groups bringing them with their experience to a wide range of audiences. The Society is a regular supporter of the bi-annual Singapore Arts Festival and Music and Dance formerly organized by the Ministry of Community Development and now by the National Arts Council. The Society also participates in the programmes organised by the Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS). The Academy organises an annual concert of its pupils to enable members and parents to view the progress of students in their disciplines. The Society also promotes the furtherance of Indian Fine Arts in Singapore by regularly having programmes of visiting performers who are well-known in their area of expertise.
